Anne Smulders

In 1995, I graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. Since then, I have specialized in designing and crafting wooden furniture. From the initial idea and design to technical drawings and the final creation, each piece is entirely handcrafted by me. SAC of Wood was born from my passion for wood. To me, a bag is like a small piece of furniture—a compact storage unit. My designs are based on hollow, three-dimensional structures, finished with various wood veneers. Each bag has a unique shape and its own distinctive pattern. The name SAC – the French word for "bag" and a reference to my initials, Smulders Anne Catharina – represents craftsmanship, originality, and artistry. A SAC is more than just a bag; it is a wooden masterpiece.
